Recruit, Train and Retain
A free workshop by Cool Ventures Ltd, as part of Future Bright
Your business is on a growth curve and you have recognised that you can’t do it all! So, now you have recruitment and people management on your agenda…
This is such an exciting time, but becoming an employer and understanding HR responsibilities can be overwhelming.
Using the key principles of Recruit, Train and Retain you can develop HR practices which will help you to manage and structure your people management.
During this workshop, the focus will be on the following key areas:
Recruit – why it is important to get recruitment right and some practical tips
Train – promoting a culture of learning and development
Retain – creating a motivating working environment where employees are productive, happy and healthy
Our HR advisor for the Future Bright project, Polly Rathbone Ward has a particular interest in supporting businesses through growth. Polly is an experienced HR professional and works with businesses in all aspects of HR.
Tea & coffee will be served on arrival and a light lunch provided. After lunch you will have the opportunity to hear from Paul Castle of Farrington Farm Shop (now employing over 70 employees), he will tell you the Farrington’s story and what they have in place to recruit, train and retain their people. You will be able to network and ask questions of both Polly and Paul.
You will leave the workshop with ideas, an action plan along with access to a HR Toolkit of How to Guides and templates to help you put the relevant processes, policies and procedures in place. Following the workshop you can also book a free 121 HR Consultation with Polly.
