Carbon Reduction Accelerator Register your interestWHAT IS IT?
The South Gloucestershire Carbon Reduction Accelerator is a new pilot initiative delivered in partnership with Seedling as part of the South Gloucestershire Business Support Service.
It is designed to help small businesses understand their carbon footprint and take meaningful climate action by developing a carbon reduction plan.
Only 6 places are available, so register your interest today not to miss out. Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible businesses.
You’ll receive:
Expert support to help you measure your emissions
Shareable carbon footprint & action plan to demonstrate your sustainability commitment to customers
Tools to engage the team (e.g. personalised homeworking / commuting footprints) and build your “employer brand”
What’s included:
12-month licence for Seedling – a carbon management platform providing a detailed Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon footprint.
Expert 1:1 support for setup, data collection, and action planning.
Two group sessions for shared learning and networking.
Support in developing a trusted climate strategy.
Employee engagement tools through Seedling to take the whole team on the journey.
Referral to the WECA Low Carbon Business Support Team for carbon surveys and Green Grant opportunities.
Programme structure:
Measure Emissions
Assign a data collection lead (this can be you or a team member) to get set up on the Seedling platform. Collect and input data at your own pace (typically 4-8 hours total) with 1:1 support from the Seedling team. By the end, you’ll have a complete baseline carbon footprint for your business.
Action Plan
Seedling will generate a tailored plan showing where you can cut emissions and save resources, which you can share with clients, employees (and anyone else) to showcase your action on climate change. You’ll have 1:1 review sessions to refine your plan, commit to implementation, and get referrals to the Growth Hub for carbon surveys and potential Green Grants.
Post-Programme Support
After the programme, you’ll join a group session to share insights and next steps. You’ll also have continued support from South Gloucestershire Business Support and the MCA Growth Hub.
Is my business eligible?
Businesses must meet the criteria below to be eligible for this time-limited programme:
Must be based in South Gloucestershire.
Have at least 10 FTEs
If not registered yet, sign-up for the South Gloucestershire Business Support service.
Commit to completing the programme and participating in an evaluation
