Join our session on South Gloucestershire’s Vacant Units Grants Scheme for application guidance and information.

This event is only available and free for small business owners who either live in or have a business based in South Gloucestershire.

Are you a local business owner or property owner with an empty commercial unit on one of eight South Gloucestershire high streets?

Are you passionate about revitalising high streets in South Gloucestershire?

Join us for an informative session on the South Gloucestershire Council’s Vacant Units Grants scheme where we’ll share information you’ll need to apply for funding, provide support to help you understand the guidance notes and application process.

What will You learn?

  • Learn about the grant scheme the aims, eligibility criteria and how it can benefit your business.
  • Get guidance on completing the application form.
  • Connect with other local entrepreneurs and property owners.
  • Discover success stories from businesses that have already been successful in their applications.
  • Learn about other business support opportunities available.

Who should attend?

Property owners with vacant commercial units.

Sole traders, business owners, charities, or Community Interest Companies (CICs) interested in occupying an empty unit on one of the 8 high street locations.

The eight South Gloucestershire high street areas are:

Chipping Sodbury, DownendFilton, Hanham, Kingswood, Staple Hill, Station Road – Yate, Thornbury

About the Presenter:

The presenter of this workshop is Sue Marchant who has over 20 year’s experience on helping small businesses start and grow. Sue has helped numerous of businesses successfully complete various grant applications.

* Whilst we can help you develop your application skills, we do not take any responsibility for the success of individual applications and attendance at this workshop does not guarantee that a grant will be awarded . Our advisors will not be able to complete your application for you.

Essential information:

Your booking for this workshop is provisional until you have enrolled for the free Business Support Service. Enrolment is via a short online form – if you are not enrolled already, a link will be emailed directly to you.

PARKING:

Car parking on the High Street is free but can get quite busy, and some areas are time limited. There is a car park situated just off the Wickwar Road towards Waitrose on Barnhill Road that offers additional free parking just a two-minute walk from the High Street.

If you are unable to attend this event, we require at least 2 working days notice for cancellations to enable us to offer your place to someone else. We reserve the right to cancel your place if you are not eligible for this service.

All participants of the service are eligible to receive up to 12 hours of free support.

The South Gloucestershire Business Support Service is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
