Join us for an engaging and informative workshop designed specifically for small business owners who are curious about the B Corp movement.

This event is only available and is free for small businesses, small charities, sole traders and residents based in Bath & North East Somerset.

There is lots of press coverage about business ethics, purposeful business, and the B Corp movement… but what is a B Corporation?

Who becomes a B Corp?

And why might you aspire to be one? All good questions not just for companies interested in greater purpose, but also for their suppliers, workers, customers and clients.

B Corp certification is the gold standard for better business practices, providing the rigorous standards and accountability necessary to certify truly environmentally and socially responsible companies.

Simply going through the B Impact Assessment will help any business to become better, fitter, stronger and healthier

What will I learn?

The BIA measures companies’ social and environmental impact through a deep dive into their internal policies, partnerships, environmental outputs, social contributions, metrics used for tracking impact, and methods employed to ensure that impact is positive.

  • Understanding the B Corp concept and its significance.
  • The benefits of becoming a B Corp for small businesses.
  • The B Impact Assessment to help get you started.
  • Q&A

Who should attend:

Business Founders or people interested in developing their business from a social and environmental impact perspective.

A bit about the presenter:

Andy Hawkins, founder of Business on Purpose, has been in business for more than 30 years helping companies transform the way they work.

This experience is now helping clients assess and improve their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) utilising the B Corp process and B Impact Assessment.

Having supported hundreds of clients across a range of sizes and sectors, as a qualified B Leader and B Corp Certified, he provides support and actionable insights to achieve greater impact.
