These introductory workshops are for people interested in starting a social enterprise.

These events are only available and are free for residents and social entrepreneurs based in Bath North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Do you have a cause that is close to your heart?

Or a vision to make an impact in your community?

Are you passionate about making a difference but not sure where to start?

Have you already started a social enterprise, but need direction and focus?

These sessions are for you! We’ll guide you through planning, funding, and launching a social enterprise.

The teaching is divided into two sessions:

  • Tuesday, 4th February, 6 pm: Starting Your Social Enterprise Journey: Planning Your Vision
  • Tuesday, 11th February, 6 pm: Starting Your Social Enterprise Journey: Funding Your Impact

⚠️ Please ensure you can attend both sessions before booking, as the second session builds on the knowledge from the first.

What will I learn?

· How to get clear about your ideas

· What to research to determine viability

· Working out and measuring your social impact

· Introduction to legal structures

· How to develop a one-page visual plan

· The possible types of funding available, including grants, loans and investment

· Deciding on your next steps

Who should attend:

· Anyone exploring ideas and thinking about starting a Social Enterprise project or business

· New businesses who are considering a Social Enterprise structure

· Social Enterprises in the early stages of development

A bit about your presenter:

Amy Morse and Emma Smith are two local business advisors who have worked together for many years, across various community business support projects. They have pooled their expertise to develop this course.
